Father Martin Browne OSB, a Benedictine monk of Glenstal Abbey in Ireland, is currently serving as an official in the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity in Rome. He has particular responsibility for the Catholic Church's relationships with the Anglican Communion and the World Methodist Council, and for the preparation of the texts for the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. He speaks to the importance of the ecumenical movement and why our work together as Christians is intrinsic to our life and witness as Catholics.
