I was born in Colombia and moved to Canada over 20 years ago. I have a degree in Economics and Finance from Colombia and I earned my CPA CMA designation in 2012. I currently work in the finance department of a large manufacturing company that designs and produces Light Armored Vehicles (LAV) for Canada and customers around the globe. I have been part of the parish for almost a year and enjoy reading and spending time with my family.
My husband, Paul, and I have been parishioners at St. George for over 20 years. I am a child psychologist and have worked in a variety of settings, including children's rehabilitation and school boards. I currently run a private practice. We have two grown daughters, a son-in-law, and a very special granddaughter. I joined the Finance Committee because I believe in the strength and courage of our faith community. Springbank Catholic Family of Parishes is my family and home. I am committed to being a part of helping our parish Family thrive and grow through compassion, hope, and in the spirit of discipleship. I will strive to serve with gratitude and humility.
My husband, David, and I have been parishioners at St. George for approximately four years, after relocating to our home in the south of London. Formally parishioners of St. Michael's Parish, we relocated from Toronto to London in 1992. I have a Master’s degree in Health Administration and have been in various senior administrative positions at hospitals and at Western University. I have strong administrative, financial, and human resources skills and served on the Finance Committee at St. Peter’s Cathedral. David and I like to call ourselves “dual citizens” (I am Catholic, and he belongs to the United Church of Canada). We have been married for 49 years and attend both churches! I am committed to being part of the Finance Committee to help our parish Family through these difficult financial times.
I have attended St. John the Divine since 1998. My husband and I have two children, both currently pursuing post-secondary education. Some parishioners may recognize me from my many years as a lector. I am a CPA CGA, and currently lead the Finance Department of a local health care organization. Parish communities of many denominations are facing unprecedented challenges, and it will take the strength and wisdom of many to discern the way forward. As a volunteer on the Springbank Catholic Family of Parishes Finance Committee, I hope to lend support to our parish Family in this important mission.
I have been an active parishioner of St. John the Divine for 37 years. With a background education in accounting and data processing in high school and college, I was a programmer on fixed assets and accounts receivable applications in a manufacturing setting. As a systems analyst/project leader, I worked on payroll and case costing applications for local hospitals. I was treasurer for St. John the Divine Catholic Women’s league for several years. Retired in 2018, I have found there is no shortage of interesting activities in which to participate.
I grew up in London, Ontario and attended Western University, where I obtained a BA in ECON followed by a B.COMM from the University of Windsor. In 1976, I joined what is now the Canada Revenue Agency, gaining experience in Tax Avoidance Issues as well as Special Investigations. While at the CRA, I also taught for over 13 years with the Faculty of Continuing Education at Fanshawe College. I also served for over five years on the Board of London Comet Credit Union, which ultimately merged with what is now Libro Credit Union. After 35 years with the CRA, I retired from the Audit Management Group. On a more personal note, I met the love of my life, Mary, while we were both working at Kingsmills Ltd., and we were married in 1974 at St. Peter's. Mary and I raised two daughters and are now proud grandparents to four energetic teenagers and three dogs. I enjoy making wine, trying new recipes, and striving to achieve the perfect lawn.
A native of West Virginia and a Business Administration graduate of West Virginia University, I spent my US career in human resources and my Canadian career at Best Buy for 12 years before retiring in 2017. I've been a member of the Finance Committee since 2021. I've been part of the St. John the Divine choir for the past six years and occasionally sing with the diocesan choir. My wife of 19 years, Helen Cleary Vink, and I have four children and four grandchildren in Phoenix, Arizona. Additionally, I volunteer my time to Knights of Columbus projects and serve as president of a local co-ed baseball association.
I have been a parishioner at St. George since relocating from the UK in 2006. Some parishioners will know me from the 11AM Choir, where I enjoy leading the congregation in singing, alongside my son. I am currently the Director of Finance for a national fitness company, and enjoy soccer, cycling, and working out in my free time. I am looking forward to putting my professional talents to use as part of the Finance Committee.
