​Since 1966, St. Vincent de Paul at St. John the Divine has been assisting people in need within the church boundaries with food, clothing, furniture and more. This year, over 1,000 hampers will have been prepared for families facing hardship, unable to afford even the basic necessities.

 

This Christmas, thanks to the generosity of the parishioners and several local businesses, St Vincent de Paul will be providing each family, a bountiful food hamper and a new toy for each of the children. Hamper Day this year is Saturday December 13th .

 

How can you be a part of this big initiative? There are food collection hampers in the Narthex, the star laden Giving Tree is up with each star requestion $10 gift cards ..and .. we also welcome you to be part of the team that will be welcoming over 150 families to the church this year. Rick Vandekieft will be coordinating the volunteers on the 13th so please contact him if you are willing to help. rickv@clil.ca.
